Scholarships
Creighton scholarships help you dream bigger.
Scholarships make a lasting difference for students—an education becomes attainable, and more doors open to the kind of success you want.
If you have good grades, demonstrate financial need or meet other criteria, you can earn a scholarship. The important thing to remember: Scholarships don’t need to be repaid.
Creighton offers 500+ scholarships across all our schools. Speak to an admissions counselor to find an opportunity available to you.

Undergraduate Scholarships
Creighton University awards need-based and non-need-based academic scholarships to students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, Heider College of Business, and the College of Nursing. The dollar amount of these scholarships varies.
In addition to Creighton Merit Scholarships, Creighton also offers additional scholarship opportunities—scholarships that require students to satisfy specific criteria and submit additional required materials, including an Additional Scholarship Application.
To be considered for need-based scholarships, a student must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Creighton does not require the CSS Profile.
Scholarships for Student-Athletes
Athletic scholarships are a massive part of Creighton’s success. They not only solidify our commitment to our student-athletes; they also give them what they need to perform at their best—on the playing field and in the classroom.
Athletic grants-in-aid are available and administered in accordance with NCAA rules and coordinated with other University, federal, state and private third-party student financial assistance programs. To find more detailed information on athletic scholarships, please contact the Director of Athletics.
Adult Undergraduate Scholarships
Adults returning to school for an undergraduate degree or pursuing their first undergraduate degree are eligible for certain scholarships at Creighton University. Adult undergraduates are also encouraged to explore outside scholarships.
Osher Re-entry Scholarships
Awarded to a limited number of undergraduate students, ages 25-50, who are pursuing their first degree and demonstrate the promise of achieving academic success. This is a tuition-only scholarship.
Dean’s Merit Award
A need-based scholarship designed to help adult students with the cost of tuition. Based on FAFSA results.
Graduate School Scholarships
Because we are a Catholic and Jesuit university, dedicated to students and learning, we offer special rates for graduate students in ministry and education. Other scholarships for graduate students are limited. Students should contact the Dean’s Office of the school they are enrolled in for further information or review the available outside scholarships.

Please contact your professional school’s Admission Office for information regarding scholarship opportunities.
Outside Scholarships
If you are the recipient of an external scholarship, you must notify the Creighton Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid office is required by law to adjust federal aid if the addition of an outside scholarship results in an over-award situation. There are certain times when an outside scholarship may make you ineligible for the federal financial aid you were previously awarded. Your financial aid officer will notify you if a change is made in your aid offer.
All outside scholarship checks should be mailed to:

Many of the best known of these scholarships and fellowships, such as the Rhodes Scholarship, Marshall Scholarship and the Fulbright Scholarship involve international work overseas, although some, such as the National Science Foundation fellowships allow you to pursue your graduate work at the university of your choice in the U.S.
Some of these, such as the Truman Scholarship, the Udall Scholarship, and the Goldwater Scholarship can be held when you are an undergraduate, with the award carrying over to your graduate studies as well.
